Celebrate National Vegetarian Week with a delicious meat-free pizza
This year, National Vegetarian Week is taking place between the 16th and the 22nd May. This annual event aims to not only help educate people on the benefits of leading or incorporating meat-free products into their diet but also to highlight that eating meat-free products doesn’t mean they have to comprise on taste.
Studies have shown that by switching to just two meat-free meals a week will result in 30% less of meat consumption by 2030*. Additionally, just one meat-free meal per week can reduce greenhouse gases by 8.4% per year[i].
Celebrate National Vegetarian Week this year with Dr. Oetker’s new The Good Baker pizza range. There are 4 mouth-watering varieties in the range including including the easy, cheesy, seedy one – Margherita; one for the veggie lover – Veggie Mix, the meat-free not treat-free – Meat-Free Bolognese and the vegan superstar – Spinach and Pumpkin Seeds.
Each stone-baked pizza includes long fermented delicious doughs that are stretched into thin and crispy bases, topped with a variety of tasty toppings – baked to pizza perfection. What’s more they all come in fully recyclable packaging; with the box itself being recycled, certified by FSC®.
Josephine Skinner, Senior Brand Manager at Dr. Oetker, commented: “The vegetarian market is growing rapidly, with many Brits opting for alternative dietary requirements. Here at Dr. Oetker, we’re passionate about creating pizzas that don’t compromise on flavour.”
