Celebrate Pride Month this June with Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Diversity Role Models

Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Disney Theatrical Group, and Diversity Role Models are proud to announce their partnership in honour of Pride Month this June, presenting a Pride themed Afternoon Tea, a special cocktail and an exclusive screening in collaboration with Disney’s Frozen The Musical for everyone to get involved. Disney has been working with Diversity Role Models for over 3 years and were pleased to extend the collaboration this year with LW Theatres.

Alex Feis-Bryce, Chief Executive Officer, Diversity Role Models comments: “Pride is a time for celebrating how far the LGBTQ+ community has come but it’s also a time to remember that our struggle for equality is ongoing and we have more work to do. At Diversity Role Models we promote the understanding of difference and celebration of diversity in schools. We are really grateful that LW Theatres are supporting us by donating a proportion of the income from their exciting Pride programme to our charity in addition to Disney’s support during a special performance later in the month. This will help us deliver more workshops in schools, reaching more young people and changing more lives for the better.”

The Lane will present a special edition of their renowned Regency Afternoon Tea to celebrate Pride Month, with £1 from every Afternoon Tea consumed during June being donated to the Diversity Role Models, a leading charity whose mission is to end LGBTQ+ bullying by harnessing the power of storytelling to build empathy and celebrate diversity.

During Pride month, visitors to the Grand Saloon will be greeted by a stunning Instagrammable installation entrance from Taittinger, and from the moment you set foot into the space, guests will be surrounded by opulent elegance featuring dazzling chandeliers, ornate ceilings, beautiful furnishings and fine art.

Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Disney will also be hosting free screenings and talks in the Cecil Beaton Bar on Friday, 28th June. In addition, David Kerby-Kendall, host of Theatre Tours at The Lane, will do a talk during the day. This is free to attend with no registration required.
