Celebrate Spring at Squerryes with Wine Tasting, a Tasting Menu and Open Gardens
Spring is a wonderful time to visit Squerryes Winery in Westerham, Kent, when the sunnier days bring the vines out into bud and the countryside takes on all the myriad and beautiful greens of new growth. Visitors to this delightful family-owned vineyard can, at any time of the year, enjoy spectacular views over the rolling hills of the North Downs while walking among the vines or relaxing in the restaurant/café with a bite to eat, a coffee or a glass of sparkling English wine.
Easter opening at Squerryes includes Easter Sunday when Sunday roasts will be served in the award-winning winery restaurant, though this will be closed on Easter Monday.
Squerryes owner Henry Warde said: “It’s always a joy to feel the first warmth of the sun in the spring and watch the vines wake up from their winter slumber. It’s also the time when we can look forward to dining on the terrace again and taking our tours back out into the vines. The anticipation of the summer months ahead, packed with a schedule of events for everyone to enjoy, is when Squerryes really comes alive and when we live by my family motto, Licet Esse Beatis, meaning it is permitted to be joyful. Tours and Tastings at Squerryes
Discover Squerryes award-winning sparkling wines on a tour and tasting. The event begins with a stroll amongst the vines while learning about winemaking and the fascinating 300-year history of the family-owned estate; where time and terroir have influenced the flavour and style of each of the vintage wines produced. The tours will be led by an experienced Wine Ambassador and you will be able to taste three of Squerryes best vintage sparkling wines. Tours & Tastings begin on 1 April and are available to book on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 11am with an additional opportunity on Saturdays at 4pm. Tours are £40pp and must be pre-booked. Extend your time at Squerryes by booking in for lunch, enjoying any of the freshly prepared dishes available in the award-winning Winery Restaurant or the Tasting Bar.
