Celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela with Colourful Radio DJs, poetry & Afro-Contemporary dance performances at The Africa Centre
2018 marks the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela. To celebrate his legacy, a series of events, presented in collaboration with Union Dance and Muntu Arts, explores the theme of inspired leadership in the 21st century.
Reflection Route features an original Contemporary Afro dance performance by choreographer Sarita Piotrowski. Set to a hypnotic South African soundtrack, Sarita and Afro dance specialist Ofelia Omoyele Balogun will perform alongside South African poet Leeto Thale to honour Madiba through unique and dynamic presentations.

The evening is presented by Union Dance and Karina H Maynard as part of the Nelson Mandela 100 Centenary Programme.” – Kenneth Olumuyiwa Tharp CBE
