Why get dressed up and go into London for a five star seafood cuisine when you could experience an equivalent service and tongue tickling menu in Ware on the borders of Essex & Hertfordshire.

On a recent visit to the fabulously hidden gem I found myself feeling complete, their mixture of superb locally sourced ingredients, efficient and friendly staff alongside some great wines, beers and spirits was just hard to beat.

The restaurant owned by local restauranteur Josue Choppy seems to be a big hit amongst the locals.

I started with a Trio of Seafood Thai crab cake with chilli mayonnaise, seared scallop (£8.95) and for mains I knew I couldn’t go wrong with the Cod Loin – served with a poached hen’s egg, crushed potatoes, leek, spinach and chive butter sauce. Not that I needs dessert but the wife was paying so I thought why not, for me the only way was the Quad of Chocolate (£6.95)

My thoughts:

Without a doubt a standout dining experience in a lovely environment !

Fancy dining like a VIP?
