CitySprint seeking 600 couriers across the UK to support with increased business growth and logistics demand
CitySprint — the UK’s largest same day distribution company — has announced that it is looking for an extra 600 couriers across the UK, with the business focusing primarily on couriers with small and large vans.
The new couriers will join the 3,500 vans, bikes, and cars that CitySprint already uses — helping to ease the increased demands on the delivery network. In particular, they will support their high-growth retail and healthcare segments.
This recruitment drive is in response to a significant uplift in logistics requirements, especially in the London area, and will ensure that service levels are maintained, and customer satisfaction achieved over the coming months.
Mark Footman, Chief Operations Officer at CitySprint, commented: “Our focus is always on providing our clients with the best and smoothest-possible service and, in turn, helping them do the same for their customers. We are committed to deliver a first-class service to each of our clients all year round so we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure the fleet is prepared to face anything that comes our way in the coming months as the business continues to grow. The new couriers will also help to ensure we continue to hit — and exceed — our targets in the London area, which has seen service levels increase dramatically over the last year.”
Mohammed Osman, a courier in London, says: “I have always enjoyed traveling around the UK, so when the Pandemic hit, I decided to apply to become a courier with CitySprint as a way to make some extra money. I love the freedom of being a self-employed courier and controlling the hours that I work, whilst traveling across the country — meeting new people and experiencing different situations every day. It keeps things exciting, and I haven’t looked back since.”
