Dandara begins construction at seaside development
Independent housebuilder Dandara has officially commenced construction at its Wingfield Place development on Freemen’s Way, in Deal, Kent. Wingfield Place will see a collection of two, three, and four-bedroom high quality homes built.
The housebuilder acquired the land, which was once a school playing field, in March with planning consent granted in March 2021. Situated just a short distance from the seaside, the four-hectare site blends into its coastal surroundings and will include a football pitch and clubhouse – which Cinque Ports FC have already expressed interest in making its home ground.
The first phase of homes will include a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached properties and will launch off-plan in November 2022, with a show home available to view in Spring 2023, and some plots with electric car charging points.
The development will support the local community, with more than £700,000 being donated as part of S106 agreements to schools, health services, and library.
David Garrett, Managing Director of Dandara South East, said: “Our development at Deal provides a great opportunity to create an exciting new community in a beautiful coastal town, and will bring significant economic benefits to the area, including money towards local infrastructure.
“Wingfield Place will provide a fantastic place to live for local residents as well as those who are keen to make a move to the coast and enjoy a quieter lifestyle by the sea.”
Surrounded by quiet villages and historic attractions, Deal has all the advantages of coastal living whilst still offering plenty of local restaurants, bars, cafes and independent shops. Those who love sports will be spoilt for choice with Prince’s Golf Club and the Royal St George’s Golf Club just a short drive away.
For families there is an excellent choice of Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ schools close by, and for some weekend fun there is Wingham Wildlife Park and plenty of things to see in Deal town centre.
