Denise Van Outen and Caprice grace Berry’s Tennis Ladies Day as the event returns to social calendars for its fourth year after a two-year hiatus.
Celebrating the arrival of Summer, Berry’s Tennis returns to Hazlewood Castle in Yorkshire following a two-year hiatus. Sponsored by the luxury jeweller Berry’s, guests are treated to a backdrop of exhibition tennis while enjoying a day of champagne and 5-star hospitality.
Former Wimbledon winner Richard Krajicek returned to play in the event, alongside three-time Masters titles winner Thomas Enqvist and the two-time Davis Cup winner Mark Philippoussis.
Krajicek added “I’ve had the great privilege of playing at Berry’s in the past and it truly is a lot of fun. I loved getting back out on the court at Hazlewood and meeting this year’s guests.”
Acting as honorary umpire for the day, Denise joined the court to oversee the games before sitting down with Caprice to judge Best Dressed for the event.
The event runs in support of the Matt Haycox Foundation, which provides financial support to the lives of seriously ill children and their families. Founder of the Berry’s Tennis Classic, businessman Matt Haycox said: “Berry’s is back after two postponed years caused by the pandemic!
“As always, it’s been great to welcome all of our guests, and our tennis legends to Yorkshire. Today’s opening day was brilliant fun, and we’re looking forward to more elite tennis at Hazlewood Castle over the next two days.”
