DERBYSHIRE SITE MANAGER GETS SEAL OF APPROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION QUALITY

A David Wilson Homes’ Site Manager has won a top national award for the quality of homes being built at the housing development he oversees in Ashbourne.

The National House Building Council (NHBC) has recognised Nathan Mannion (40) for his site management capabilities, marking him as among the best in the UK.

Derby born and bred; Nathan is overseeing the construction of the Ramblers’ Gate development in Ashbourne.

He said: “I was absolutely made up to receive my first Seal of Excellence as I have only been a Site Manager for a year and a half.

“I have worked with multiple award-winning Site Managers and to see the passion that they have for quality has given me the same mindset. When I was promoted to Site Manager, I knew that I wanted to set high standards and winning a Seal of Excellence has shown that hard work pays off.
“I now want to keep pushing the standard higher and continue to be a multiple NHBC award winner.”

These accolades rate Site Managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership and attention to detail. The awards celebrate the vital role Site Managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on-time, on safe sites and to the highest quality standards.

John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Our Site Managers are on the ground each and every day making sure David Wilson Homes housing developments are operating smoothly and to the high standards we set. We’d like to congratulate all of our award winners for their continued hard work.

“With our employees winning Seal of Excellence awards, it demonstrates the long-term commitment we’ve made to providing our customers with the best possible service.”

This is the 17th year in a row that parent company Barratt Developments has won more awards than any other housebuilder, proving that its housing developments and the Site Managers that oversee them are among the very best in the business.
