DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER AT SO RESI WINS COVETED WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
SO Resi’s Digital Marketing Manager Violet Pugh has been crowned Woman of the Year (Leadership) at this year’s Women in Housing Awards. Hosted by Inside Housing, the awards ceremony took place at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday 7th September.
The award aims to recognise someone who has been an inspiration to others over the last 12 months, and who is an outstanding ambassador for women in housing. Violet’s entry was judged on her leadership, personal commitment to supporting other women in their personal and professional development, and a willingness to speak truth to power.
Violet Pugh, Digital Marketing Manager at SO Resi, comments: “I feel incredibly honoured to receive the Woman of the Year award in the leadership category, and I am grateful to work with such a fantastic team. There is still a long way to go to ensure true diversity and equality in housing, but there are great strides already being taken at SO Resi and I am proud to work with many colleagues who advocate for positive change within the sector.”
Violet has worked in various marketing roles within the housing industry for six years, and joined SO Resi (the shared ownership brand of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing) in 2017. Her role as Digital Marketing Manager sees her at the forefront of developing and delivering digital content for SO Resi and promoting shared ownership initiatives. Alongside this, Violet is heavily involved in a number of inclusive initiatives at SO Resi from Chairing Rise, MTVH’s ethnicity staff network group, to being at the forefront of SO Resi’s International Women’s Day Podcast to discuss women in the housing sector.
Kush Rawal, Director of Residential Investment at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, comments: “Violet is an exceptional leader, and a genuine inspiration to those around her. She is an ambassador for women in housing, leading by example and championing female colleagues. Everyone within the SO Resi and wider MTVH team feels the benefit of working with Violet, and we are all extremely proud that Violet has been recognised in this year’s Women in Housing awards.”
