Drive into what has been dubbed ‘the most beautiful drive in cinema experience in the world’ atop a Cornish clifftop
Wavelength’s Drive In Summer Cinema Series launched the weekend just gone. Back bigger and better than before, with more screenings and even more of a festival feel. Every car that drives through the gate gets a free pint of Lucky Saint (non alcoholic beer), a glider and tonic (non alcoholic G&T from Sipsmith), cooling Jimmy’s Iced Coffee and bar of sustainable chocolate from Tony’s Chocolonely. With street food and drinks delivered to car doors, the whole event series is firmly ‘no queues’. There will even be live performances from the original buoy band, The Fisherman’s Friends on a number of Sundays throughout the summer before the screening of their hit 2019 movie.
Grab the kids, pile in the motor and park up to watch The Goonies, Moana, Jurassic Park, The Lion King, Jaws, Pirates of the Caribbean, plus many more, on super-impressive LED screens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Not forgetting the special ‘Summer Sunday Singalongs’, which offer the perfect opportunity to indulge in epic in-car performances of hits from The Greatest Showman, Grease and Mamma Mia to name a few.
With 21 showings taking place at 12pm and 6.45pm every Thursday through to Sunday until the curtain closes on Monday 5th September, there is plenty for families’ viewing pleasure.
Space is available for more than 200 vehicles per showing, with tickets priced at either £6 per person or £26 per car or van and driver, with a maximum of five people per vehicle. To view the full movie line-up (of family fun flicks, cult classics and shredding surf films) and to purchase tickets, please visit the Wavelength website at https://wavelengthmag.com/drive-in-2021/line-up.
