Elaine’s feeling electric after winning Tesla car and cash prize
Retirement is suddenly feeling electric for a Croydon woman who had the shock of a lifetime on discovering she had scooped a £160,000 cash-and-car prize from leading online competitions company BOTB.
Elaine Eccleston was left in disbelief – before that turned into delight – when BOTB’s Christian Williams turned up at her home to tell her she was the winner of this week’s Dream Car Competition.
“Oh my word – I don’t know what to say!” were the first words out of Elaine’s mouth when Christian surprised her with the news that she had won a brand new Tesla Model X Plaid.
Worth a whopping £110,00, this top of the range, electric powerhouse combines both performance and practicality – and if that isn’t enough – it also came with £50,000 cash in the boot.
“This is amazing, it’s just unbelievable really. At the moment, everything’s gotten more expensive and that becomes even more difficult when you’re retired, so this is definitely going to make a big difference to us,” said Elaine.
“It isn’t often that I’m speechless but today I am! I’m in shock.”
BOTB hands over the keys to two stunning cars each week as well as the lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a motorbike, a luxury holiday to Barbados and £15,000 in cash.
The company, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £47m worth of cars so far.
