GB NEWS LAUNCHES NEW SERIES GIVING A VOICE TO THE SILENCED

A NEW series which gives a voice to those who have faced de-platforming, cancellation, or censorship has been launched by GB News.

“Silenced”, presented by GB News’ National Reporter Charlie Peters, provides an in-depth look into the personal and professional challenges encountered by those whose voices have been suppressed.

It is the latest in a series of exclusive priority access content for GBN members.

Investigative reporter Peters, who has spearheaded GB News’ coverage of the rape gangs scandal, will be talking to the likes of Connie Shaw, a philosophy and theology student at Leeds university who was barred from appearing on university radio because of her views on gender.

Also featured is Carl Borg who was unfairly dismissed as an employee of Lloyds Banking Group after a mentor objected to his use of language during a race relations training session.

Charlie also explores the case of Colonel Dr Kelvin Wright, who was disciplined for saying that men cannot be women but was cleared of wrong-doing after an inquiry.

Another of those sharing their stories of battling for freedom of speech is Gary Mond, a trustee of a Jewish charity, who went to court and won after his was cancelled over an accusation of “Islamophobia”.

Charlie said: “Far too many vital conversations are not happening in Britain in 2025. Through overt and cultural censorship, we are being silenced.

“This chilling of free expression is a danger to all that we should hold dear in our country.

“GB News is the fearless voice of Britain and we relish the opportunity to speak to people who have fought back against censorship in all its forms.”

Emily Fox, Digital Audience Director and Head of Membership and Community, said: “Here at GB News we are building a community.

“With series like Silenced, our members can get access to content they can’t get from the Establishment media.

“Viewers are joining because they want to be part of a community that strives to defend independent journalism, honesty and truth in Britain today.”
