GET A FREE PUB BREAKFAST EVERY WEEKEND IN OCTOBER –SIMPLY BY GETTING YOUR STEPS IN AND SAYING THIS SECRET CODEWORD

Brits can get a free pub breakfast throughout the entire month of October – simply by getting their steps in and saying a secret codeword on arrival.

To claim breakfast on the house, simply show your step count to a member of staff at your nearest Chef & Brewer Collection pub to prove you’ve been on a walk and say the codeword ‘AllTrails’.

Alternatively, guests can redeem by simply showing that they’ve downloaded the outdoor platform AllTrails. Available for free through Apple and Google app stores, AllTrails provides route maps, reviews, and photos of more than 450,000 trails worldwide—including over 32,000 UK trails.

The breakfast offer is available from Friday October 4th, with customers able to claim between 9am and 11:30am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the month.

And with 75% of Chef & Brewer Collection pubs within walking distance of a beauty spot, customers can enjoy anything from Berry Brioche to a Full Breakfast surrounded by the very best of British nature.

The breakfast offer comes as the pub brand partners with AllTrails to encourage Brits to reconnect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family this autumn.

This follows research revealing more than seven in ten people (71%) don’t know where their nearest beauty spot is, with just half the nation (50%) visiting a beauty spot in any location at least once a month.

Despite the lack of geographical education about local beauty spots, an appetite to explore remains – as seven in ten people (69%) say they would like more education about picturesque locations local to them.

When it comes to obstacles to enjoying the great outdoors, distance (25%) is the number one reason people don’t visit their local beauty spot, followed by accessibility (21%) and bad weather (17%)

Walking (63%) is the nation’s number one outdoor activity, followed by admiring the views (58%) and taking photos (44%), with wellbeing (46%), health benefits (45%) and improved mood (37%) cited as the top three reasons for going for a stroll.

The research further delved into the most picturesque areas of the UK, according to Brits, with Cornwall taking top spot ahead of the Scottish Highlands, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.

Kate Dell, senior marketing manager of the Chef & Brewer Collection, said: “There’s no better way to start or end a brisk autumn walk than with a delicious breakfast in front of a log fire.

“That’s why we’re offering customers a breakfast on the house and partnering with AllTrails to encourage the nation to explore the natural wonders of our British countryside.

“With pubs up and down the country, your nearest Chef & Brewer will be closer than you think. So, come on down to your local pub and fuel up on a free breakfast while enjoying the great outdoors. What more could you want?”
