The often-disappointing British picnic has received a truly alla moda makeover thanks to Aperol and luxury picnic hamper company PIQUE, who have teamed up just in time for the arrival of warmer weather this Bank Holiday.

Available for delivery nationwide from the May Bank Holiday and across the summer, each Aperol Pique-Nique – priced at £65 for two people – comes with a range of appetizing Italian light bites, and the brand-new Aperol Spritz Kit, for an authentic Aperitivo experience.

Featuring smaller 35cl bottles of Aperol and Cinzano Prosecco D.O.C for the first time, the kits mean Aperol Spritz on-the-go has never been easier. And using the official 3:2:1 recipe on the pack itself, you’ll be able to prepare this iconic Italian Aperitivo in just a few minutes – adding an Italian twist to any picnic or outdoor gathering.

The Aperol Pique-Nique can also be delivered to pick-up hot spots at popular London parks including Battersea Park, Hyde Park and Regent’s Park. Deliveries can be made between 11:00 – 12:00 at the weekend, and between 17:00 – 18:30 during the week.

PIQUE’s hampers are hand-made and hand-curated to ensure each includes the highest quality bites, that are beautifully presented and deliciously irresistible. This limited-edition, carefully crafted menu features Italian-inspired Aperitivo staples to share, complimented by the bittersweet, refreshing taste of an Aperol Spritz:

Saffron arancini with a herb aioli dip
Fresh salads of cured prosciutto ham, melon, rocket and burrata with baby plum tomatoes, toasted pine nuts and micro-basil
A twist on the classic sausage roll with nduja sausage roll bites – a spicy sausage from the region of Calabria in Southern Italy
Vibrant Nocellara olives and freshly baked ciabatta
To finish, a citrusy dolce of lemon polenta cake

A vegetarian option is available – swapping the prosciutto and melon salad with a fresh pesto, peas and pea shoots orzo salad, and the sausage rolls with bitesize tomato and gorgonzola pizzas.

To ensure the perfect Aperol Spritz serve, the hamper will also contain the classic fresh orange slice to garnish, as well as soda water and two branded Aperol Spritz cups[1] – so picnic-goers need only bring their own ice to say Salute! as they reconnect with friends and family.
