Holly Willoughby will leave This Morning, predicts PR expert
THIS Morning host Holly Willoughby would benefit from taking a break from This Morning before moving on to a new ITV show, a PR expert has predicted.
Andy Barr told GB News: “I think now’s the time to take a step away, have a bit of a break. She’ll be given another show by ITV, although Schofield’s proven that nobody’s bullet-proof.
“She is actually really loved. And I think she’ll get a new show out of this. She’ll go on to do really well. But I think that is probably away from This Morning.
“I don’t think she can carry on in its current format.”
In a discussion with Ellie Costello and Martin Daubney, he continued: “This whole next two weeks are going to be really important. Tomorrow is going to be a key day, what will happen with the ITV share price?”
He said the rot started with the queue-jumping scandal at the Queen’s funeral: “Think that’s the time that the public really lost a bit of faith and also behind the scenes as allegations that for the first time both parties were kind of briefing against each other to the media by their various spokespeople.
“So, I think that was the catalyst and I think that’s when the ITV bosses thought actually they might have lost the room here.”
He added: “We’re already seeing a load more tabloid allegations about what did Holly exactly know, when were things revealed? When did the investigation take place?”
