HOUSEBUILDER HELPS RAF CHILDREN BECOME PILOTS FOR THE DAY
Children from RAF Brize Norton Pre-School became pilots for the day last week, as they were invited to Annington’s The Crescent development in Carterton to play on the new play area and take part in an ‘airplane race’. Annington is building 135 new homes at The Crescent, which is set on the former site of Ministry of Defence housing linked to RAF Brize Norton.
All of the children at the pre-school come from families based at RAF Brize Norton, and were invited to take part in their own mission to build and decorate their own miniature planes, before visiting the playground at The Crescent for a test flight. The children, aged three and four years old, raced the planes around the play area, and finished the morning by testing the play equipment.
Emma Toner, a teacher at RAF Brize Norton Pre-School, commented: “All children at the pre-school come from RAF backgrounds, meaning that we have lots of aspiring pilots and engineers in our group. We’d like to thank Annington for organising the airplane race, as this activity brings so many benefits to the children, such as encouraging imagination and creativity, and boosting dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.”
Louise Saunders, Sales and Marketing Manager at Annington, comments: “Playing outside has been shown to bring both physical and psychological health benefits to children, and it was a pleasure to invite the children to visit the playground at The Crescent, and help their imagination take flight during the airplane race.”
Annington is building new homes at The Crescent, located on the site of former MOD housing connected to RAF Brize Norton. Once complete, Annington will offer 135 new homes in Carterton. Only a few properties remain available for sale in the last phase of two, three, and four-bedroom homes at The Crescent, with prices starting from £254,950. This is the last chance to purchase at this popular development.
