Housebuilder launches new homes in popular Kentish seaside town

Described as one of England’s prettiest seaside destinations with an award-winning high street, Deal is known for its cool cultural vibe and thriving music and food scene[1]. Recently, local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, has launched its new development, Sholden Meadows, in Deal.

Located on the outskirts of the historic village of Sholden, the development boasts a collection of energy-efficient three-and four-bedroom homes, with a range of incentives currently available including Deposit Unlock, Key Worker Deposit Contribution and Movemaker.

The new homes at Sholden Meadows means that David Wilson Homes will contribute £805,084 to the local area, to support with improvements to local services. The money pledged is set to be divided across multiple sections of the Sholden economy, including being allocated towards education, health and social care and transport services.

Alongside its contributions towards local services, David Wilson Kent will also be delivering 174 homes, of which 30% will be affordable. This guarantees that a mixture of affordable rent and intermediate tenures will be on offer at Sholden Meadows for members of the Kent community, who would otherwise be unable to get onto the property ladder.

With options of terraced and detached homes, properties at Sholden Meadows are a great option for families looking to settle by the seaside. Surrounded by open green spaces and wildflower meadows, buyers will find nature on their doorstep, making it ideal for outdoor lovers and family fun. Additionally, the development is set to include an accessible play park with a play trail.
