Human Appeal launches unique ‘Purple Network’ Donor Networking events
In a first for a faith-based charity in the UK, Human Appeal, one of the fastest growing international NGOs, is launching the Purple Network – a donor-only events programme, where supporters of the charity can mix, network, and learn from inspirational speakers.
Taking place once per month, and so far, running in Leeds and Manchester locations, the Purple Network gives those who join as members an evening to contemplate best practice sharing and hear inspirational speakers discuss their strategies for success, both in their professional and personal lives.
Initial events have featured speakers including tycoons, philanthropists as well as property experts and large business owners like Shaan Ahmed, part of the family-run Parklane Group of companies.
Plans for future evenings include speakers from the worlds of professional services, banking, finance, legal, private business, among others.
Commenting on the launch of the Purple Network, Fahad Khan, Purple Network Business Manager at Human Appeal, comments, “The heart of many Human Appeal activities is about community – supporting initiatives that help local groups to help themselves and grow. So launching the Purple Network seems a natural extension of this drive. The initial events have been very successful, and we’ve had great feedback about the inspiration and energy our member base received from the sessions. We’re really looking forward to the next phase of events and seeing this donor network develop.”
