The Moving to Portugal Show and Seminars, due to take place in London on 3rd April 2025, has seen a significant increase in bookings compared to the spring 2024 show. Bookings are up by 87%, with over 430 delegates already registered to attend. The event’s organiser – the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK – points out that not only are bookings up, but people want to move faster, with the Moving to Portugal Show’s seminar programme structured accordingly. General Manager Christina Hippisley comments:

“Demand is up and timelines are shorter. People are keen to swap life in the UK for a fresh start in Portugal. Visas, taxation and buying a property in Portugal are top of mind for many of those attending the upcoming Moving to Portugal Show, hence a keen focus on these topics at our 3rd April event.”

Cross border tax specialists Forvis Mazars Advisory UK will be among those presenting at the Moving to Portugal Show, as well as legal experts RME Legal.

A range of property agents, developers and resorts will also be present at the event, including Fine and Country Algarve, Garvetur, Pestana Residences Algarve, Terrabella Resort Lisbon, Libertas, Nomad Residences, Madre, BSA Investments and VIC Properties.

On the financial side, Blevins Franks, Currencies4You and Portuguese bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos will all be present to support attendees to understand a range of mortgage and banking-related matters. SunCap Visa, The Golden Portugal, Portugal Pathways, the Sovereign Group and TPMC will also be present, covering a range of financial and investment topics.

The Moving to Portugal Show runs from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, with two seminar sessions held during the day, so that attendees can access the information they need whether they’re coming in the morning or afternoon. In addition to the core visa, tax and legal topics, the morning session will include presentations spotlighting Portugal’s regions from a property perspective, while the afternoon will feature an in-depth focus on investing via Portugal’s Golden Visa.

Networking drinks from 6pm will follow the busy seminar programme, ensuring delegates enjoy the chance to speak to exhibitors and presenters and make the contacts they need to support a seamless move overseas.
“Interest in moving to Portugal is extensive, with a wide range of reasons pushing families, businesspeople, investors, retirees and others to leave the UK and start a new life overseas. Tax, legal and property considerations are top of mind for many of those individuals, all of whom can access the information they need at the upcoming Moving to Portugal Show. We are also happy to arrange discussions with exhibitors prior to the event, to ensure everyone gets maximum benefit from attending.”
