Introducing Konkr: Innovative New Platform Built To Support Health & Fitness Graduates
Konkr, a new platform built to support health & fitness graduates build and operate a successful coaching business, is set to launch in early October.
The North West based business, sets to empower freelance health and fitness professionals to achieve their greatest success with the innovative client management and marketing platform.
The platform will look to support personal trainers as they set up and learn how to run a business.
Currently, the register of Exercise Professional (REP’s) has over 19,000 personal trainers on their membership scheme and according to a recent IBISWorld industry report on personal trainers, the number is estimated to be closer to 50,000 with 79.4% working as self-employed trainers.
The 79.4% working as self-employed trainers will benefit from the first of its kind platform with them being able to pursue their dream career with the security of having the support from Konkr to deal with the logistical side of their business.
The fitness industry, particularly a high percentage of personal trainers, took a financial hit during the pandemic with gyms across the country being forced to close.
The industry has largely shown itself to be robust and has bounced back strongly since reopening fully in April 2021, with the IBISWorld expecting the industry revenue to increase at a compound annual rate of 3% over the five years through 2025-26.
Founded by collective trio Neil Henshaw, Scott Winstanley and Anthony Morrow who have a shared range of over 50 years of experience in business, digital marketing and advanced technology, look to improve the health and fitness industry for personal trainers, with the new innovative platform.
For the first time in the industry, the platform will provide customers with the tools they need to operate, including business support, client management, sales and marketing, training, and education and well-being, with a key focus on personal training graduates to give them a head start in the industry.
Spearheaded by founder Neil Henshaw, who has over 25 years of experience in the health and fitness sector, primarily as a successful multi-site gym owner and operator, Neil acknowledged a gap in the market to help freelance fitness professionals.
Through his time in the industry, Neil became familiar with the day-to-day challenges that freelance fitness professionals face on a daily basis.
Inspired by 25 years of working in the industry, Konkr was developed, with the platform being specifically designed to help freelance fitness professionals manage critical activities and free up time to create more success.
Neil Henshaw said on the upcoming launch of Konkr: “We wanted to create a platform which the fitness industry would benefit from, especially freelancers who sometimes might need help with direction on working for themselves.
“We are looking forward to the health and fitness industry trying out Konkr and benefiting from the tools that the platform provides. The platform has been years in the making in order to provide customers with the best experience and through our experience in the industry we have created a platform that the fitness industry has always needed.”
On the impact of the pandemic, Neil said: “We believe the pandemic has really shone a light on how important physical and mental wellbeing is and how important exercise is to achieving that. The main change during the first lockdown was the pivot away from face to face to online coaching.
“Online saw massive growth during lockdowns but with restricted access to equipment and the human need for social interaction we have seen face to face coaching grow strongly which is why it is now the perfect time for Konkr to pave the way in the personal training industry.”
