“Can UN Build a Peaceful World?”

An event in London will hope to answer this question …

After the Cold War, new regional conflicts and flashpoints have broken out under the impact of nationalist passions, power rivalries, misuse of religion, ethnic divisions and the pursuit of ‘War on Terror’ in which millions of people have died.

After the 2nd World War, United Nations was established to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war. Distinguished speakers will explore what reforms can be undertaken for UN to become a transparent, accountable and democratic body fully effective for building a peaceful world.
