KALORAMA MADRID finalises lineup and releases set times
KALORAMA Madrid is set to debut on August 29th, 30th, and 31st at the IFEMA Fairgrounds, promising to be the summer’s standout event. With a stellar lineup featuring Sam Smith, Massive Attack, Raye, LCD Soundsystem, Peggy Gou, The Smile, Jungle, and The Postal Service + Death Cab For Cutie, among many others, offering a diverse musical experience perfect for closing out the holiday season.
This limited-capacity outdoor event will bring together a wide range of musical genres, from pop to jazz and electronic music, over three days. This edition marks KALORAMA’s simultaneous presence in both Madrid and Lisbon with Madrid hosting the festival for the first time. In addition to the previously announced artists, two new acts have been added: Joe Goddard, known for his vibrant synth-pop, and Monobloc who have burst from the underground of New York City’s booming DIY scene
Thursday, August 29: LCD Soundsystem, The Postal Service + Death Cab For Cutie, The Smile, Nation Of Language, The Kills, Dudu Tasa and Jonny Greenwood, English Teacher + Joe Goddard
The festival kicks off with a powerful start, New York’s LCD Soundsystem will lead the charge with their dance-punk energy. The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie will bring their intergenerational indie pop, while The Smile, featuring Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, will delve into alternative rock. Dudu Tassa & Jonny Greenwood will offer a blend of experimental and traditional sounds, complemented by The Kills’ rock, Nation of Language’s indie vibe, as well as English Teacher who fuse dreampop, psychedelia and emo-rock and Joe Goddard’s iconic synth-pop.
Friday, August 30: RAYE, Fever Ray, Gossip, Overmono, Soulwax, Yard Act, Yves Tumor, Colectivo da Silva and Tristán
The second day will see RAYE deliver her hits as the reigning queen of R&B and soul, while Beth Ditto’s Gossip promises a high energy performance full of their signature sound. Expect avant-garde electronic and pop from Fever Ray and Yves Tumor and the upbeat energy from Overmono and Soulwax. Yard Act will bring their bold, bright and loud presence to Madrid.
Saturday, August 31: Massive Attack, Sam Smith, Jungle, Peggy Gou, Ezra Collective, Olivia Dean, Huda and Monobloc
Massive Attack will bring their timeless trip-hop, while Sam Smith, a pop titan, will showcase their award-winning vocals. Peggy Gou will represent the essence of summer clubbing, and Jungle will turn their set into a funk and electronic music party. Mercury prize winners, Ezra Collective will bring their genre-blending sounds and infectious joy to the crowd whilst breakout star Olivia Dean will dazzle with her tracks from her latest album, Messy.
