Katalyst Laboratories launches the first non-invasive saliva COVID-19 test in the UK
Katalyst Laboratories, an authorised distributor of SARS-CoV-2 rapid testing to private healthcare, corporations and travel hubs, has launched an industry first non-invasive saliva ‘lollipop rapid antigen’ test.
The easy-to-use CE IVD certified Lollipop kit requires no swab or buffer solution, making the test suitable for children, the elderly, and those with disabilities at home or at point-of-care. With one simple saliva swab, results will show if SARS-CoV-2 antigen is present within 10 minutes.
Katalyst Laboratories offers best-in-class rapid SARS-CoV-2 tests which are approved by the DHSC and used by and NHS.
With an extensive testing pedigree with large travel hubs, governments and corporates such as Virgin Atlantic and Prague Airport, Katalyst is well placed to roll out new products and services.
The portfolio of authorised tests come pre-integrated with the Yoti digital identity app, which enables test results to be handled according to data privacy laws and sent securely to people’s phones.
Andrew Wheeler, CEO, Katalyst Laboratories said: “Mass testing is the only way for businesses to re-open safely and securely. Only through successful testing will the UK economy recover, alongside a steady vaccine roll-out. We have the proven technology and required scalability to provide end- to-end workflow, from swab to delivered result within an hour. We provide point of care and at home testing, working with professional medical staff to administer the tests following NHS protocols. We have also partnered with Nuffield Health, one of the most trusted healthcare brands in the UK to offer testing solutions at travel hubs and elsewhere”
