Lacking Romance? Experts Reveal How to Ignite Passion in the Bedroom
Almost half of young women have said they feel their body confidence has been knocked in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a negative impact on their sex lives.
A new study by apartment rental brand, Essential Living, reveals the colours that will help ignite passion in the bedroom:
In partnership with colour expert Momtaz Begum-Hossain and relationship expert Jen Kaarlo, the study reveals creating a ‘Luxury Boudoir” bedroom will spark romance during lockdown.
Couples have continued to struggle with a lack of space both mentally and physically and our experts reveal incorporating purple into the bedroom will make all the difference. Not only does the colour signify kindness, and is an ideal choice for work-from-home couples – it’s also magical and luxurious and will help you get a little hotter under the covers.
Relationship expert Kaarlo suggests, ‘White, purple, gold and teal make a royal combination. Paired with a velvet bedspread and fluffy white pillows it’s perfect for bringing a little more sensuality and romance to your relationship in a time where ‘date night’ seems off the cards.’
A couple’s home can have an effect on their relationship during the best of times. As we continue to navigate new challenges, it’s easy for small details of the house to have a bigger impact. Since we don’t have the same opportunities to escape to restaurants, cocktail bars, theatres, or other spaces to celebrate a special evening it makes what we do at home all that more important.
Kaarlo says, “One tip I love to share is to pull out your nicest bed linen, light your favourite candles, and put on a collection of your favourite songs. It will make an ordinary evening seem not so ordinary after all.”
For the busier couples, who both want nothing more than to chill out and relax after a day hard at work, experts suggest a ‘tranquil paradise’. The mix of fresh blue, earth green, muted grey and silver is beautifully reminiscent of nature and ‘will soak up any negative tensions’ remaining after a stressful day.
