Leeds United’s Ronaldo Vieira speaks out on upcoming season
Leeds United’s Ronaldo Vieira has had a summer to remember since last season came to a close in May.
The 18 year-old, who made 38 appearances for the Whites and picked up the Young Player of the Year Award during the last campaign, was rewarded with a new four year contract with the club and also made his international debut with England Under-20s.
The midfielder spoke about winning the Toulon Tournament with the Three Lions and the return to pre-season training with the Whites.
“It feels good to be back and seeing all the boys, we’ve done all of the testing and now it’s time to crack on with training,” said Vieira.
“I enjoyed myself this summer, it was a good experience playing for England and hopefully that will help me throughout the season.
“We got to play against different opposition with different styles and you learn a lot at international level.
“It was good to win the tournament, we were a new group and I don’t think anyone expected us to do that well.
“Signing a new deal and getting to go away with England, I couldn’t have asked for more, I’ve had a little bit of time off and now it is time to get back to work.
