Leicestershire schoolgirl wins national ‘design a Christmas coffee cup’ competition

Skyler Hoare (8) from Billesdon, Leicestershire has beaten hundreds of entrants to win a competition that will see her Christmas coffee cup design used by Bru Coffee and Gelato stores across the UK.

The competition ran in August and September and was promoted nationally and through all six Bru stores in Canada Water (London Docklands); Cardiff; Harrow (North West London), Leicester, Reading and Walthamstow (East London).

The Billesdon Primary School pupil went in to her nearest Bru in Leicester, on Saturday [11 December] to see her Christmas coffee cup designs in use and collect her prize: a £75 Amazon voucher and ten free coffee or gelato vouchers.

We really want to help spread some Christmas cheer and we chose Skyler’s design from the hundreds of entries because it was fun, festive and we felt that it reflected Bru’s vibrant personality.”

Skyler was thrilled to win the competition and said, “I’m so happy to have won the competition. It’s really exciting to see my design on the cups and know that they are being used all over the country, not just in Leicester!”
