LICHFIELD DEVELOPER SAYS NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES WITH CHOCOLATE DONATION TO HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Staff at Rosemary Lodge Residential Home in Lichfield have received a sweet treat from local developer in recognition of their hard work throughout the pandemic.

All 48 employees at the care home were gifted boxes of Cadbury’s Heroes chocolates from David Wilson Homes as a way to show appreciation for their hard work during the past year.

Throughout the pandemic staff at the Walsall Road care home have put in place a range of new measures. This includes, temperature checks every day, PPE worn by all staff and testing carried out on all staff.

The residential home has introduced a safe Visitors Pod, a safe space for those visiting residents, which is sanitised and fogged, after each visitor with a minimum of one hour in-between visits for extra protection.

For those who aren’t able to visit the home, staff have been arranging Facetime get togethers with loved ones to keep residents connected.

The residential home, which is located on Walsall Road, continued to provide quality 24-hour care and accommodation for the elderly throughout the pandemic.

“As staff at the residential home continued to work throughout the last three lockdowns, we can appreciate how tirelessly these fantastic employees have been working to keep residents and other staff members safe.

“This small gesture of appreciation is to let our local heroes know that our community is grateful for them, and to encourage them to keep up the amazing work they’re doing.”
