London Mayoral Election Odds: Sadiq Khan, Brian Rose, Shaun Bailey
The 2020 London Mayoral Election (delayed from last year due to Covid) will be held on May 6th, along with other local elections across England.
There are 16 candidates, including seasoned political figures from the main parties.
- Sadiq Khan for the Labour Party
- Shaun Bailey for the Conservatives
And candidates from less established parties including covid conspiracists and social media influencers.
- Brian Rose a former heroin addict and banker – turned Podcaster who promoted misinformation related to Covid 19
- Laurence Fox for the Reclaim Party – Billie Piper’s right-wing ex who took part in anti-lockdown protests
- Max Fosh and Independent candidate a 26 year old social media influencer who simply wants more votes than Liam Fox
- Piers Corbyn – Jeremy Corbyn’s older brother, who was arrested for distributing covid conspiracy leaflets
- Count Binface for the Countbinface Party, formally known as Lord Buckethead of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party
Betvictor has predicted it to almost be a guaranteed win for Sadiq Khan
- Sadiq Khan 1/100
However, how the proportion of the remaining votes will be split is undecided.
So far, Shaun Bailey for the Conversative Party and Brian Rose have equal odds.
- Brian Rose 20/1
- Shaun Bailey 20/1
The remaining candidates odds are too low to be generated for the BetVictor statisticians.
Candidates entering as a joke, for vanity projects or simply acting as a pressure group is nothing new.
Though having an independent candidate poll having better odds than a political party is a rare occasion.
