London Technology Club signs 100th member – Adam Norris, entrepreneur, investor and father to Lando Norris, the F1 racing driver for McLaren, joins LTC’s exclusive community of tech investors
London Technology Club (LTC), the exclusive community for high-net-worth individuals, VCs and institutional investors looking to invest in the tech sector, can announce that it has welcomed its 100th member to the Club. Entrepreneur and investor Adam Norris, who is CEO and Founder of Pure Electric, the electric scooter specialist, and father to Lando Norris, the F1™ racing driver of the McLaren team, becomes LTC’s newest member.
Adam Norris joins LTC alongside distinguished investors such as Jim Mellon (Investor, Founder of the Burnbrae Group, Cofounder and Chairman of Juvenescence), Peter Brabeck-Letmathe (Chair Emeritus, former Chairman and CEO of the Nestlé Group, former Chairman of Formula One™ and Board Member of the World Economic Forum), June Felix (CEO of FTSE 250 company IG Group, former President of Verifone Europe), and Martin Gilbert (Chairman of Revolut, AssetCo and Toscafund, and Co-founder / former CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management 1983-2017) who sit on the Club’s advisory board.
Together with Konstantin Sidorov, the Founder and CEO of LTC, Adam and fellow LTC members will have access to multiple direct co-investment opportunities and leading venture funds in 2023. LTC has raised a Pledge Fund each year for three years, totalling over $80m to date; deploying 20 – 25 investments per year with a focus on high growth tech companies from around the globe that are valued between $100m – $1bn.
The Club is sector agnostic but has a notable track record in fintech, AI, SaaS, mobility and healthtech. It lists Revolut, Einride, Rescale, TIER, Paysend, Sharebite and Rapyd amongst its direct investment portfolio and has invested in funds led by the likes of White Star Capital, Northzone, Clear Ventures, Target Global, G Squared and Artis Ventures. Pledge Fund I returned 30% of capital back to investors and increased the value of its assets under management by almost x2 within two years.
Last year, LTC announced the launch of LTC Dubai, its first strategic international investment hub, supported by Global Ventures, the leading international venture capital firm focused on investing in emerging market founders. A global hotspot for innovation, Dubai is a centre of global connectivity that attracts leading tech investors and first-class deal flow, and therefore became a standout location for LTC’s first overseas post as it seeks to expand its membership. The Club hosts regular networking events and unique experiences for members in Dubai who see it as an ideal place to settle with their businesses and families.
Konstantin Sidorov, Founder and CEO, London Technology Club, said:
“LTC is fast becoming the leading community for sophisticated investors to access high growth tech companies, and we are delighted to welcome Adam Norris, CEO and Founder of Pure Electric, as our 100th member.
“Together with our members, we are excited to accelerate our strategic investments in growth-stage tech companies to fuel the long-term success of businesses in burgeoning sectors such as fintech, AI, SaaS, mobility and healthtech.
“While this year will present some challenges for entrepreneurs, I am confident that the most agile and resilient tech scale-ups from around the world will continue to accelerate their growth in 2023. Those with the strongest fundamentals, a clear pathway to profitability and a unique vision will continue to thrive. Private markets have, historically, been the beneficiary of strong hand investors, the ones whose liquidity profile means that they do not succumb to selling at the hint of a market downturn. This will help the best high-growth tech companies to achieve sustainable success in the long-term.”
Adam Norris, CEO and Founder of Pure Electric, the electric scooter specialist, said:
“As a serial entrepreneur and investor fascinated with innovative tech companies, I am thrilled to join LTC as its 100th member. No other Club in London offers such breadth and depth of tech investment and networking opportunities, and I am looking forward to immersing myself in LTC’s community of sophisticated investors and visionary entrepreneurs.
“I am passionate about how sustainable e-mobility can make a meaningful difference to the environment and will use my LTC membership as a platform to explore personal investment opportunities while supporting the growth of Pure Electric, the electric scooter specialist that I founded in 2018 to provide faster, cleaner travel alternatives.”
