Long Lane, Ickenham- Emergency Repairs Ongoing

Cadent had to undertake emergency repairs at the junction of Long Lane and Community Close, Ickenham due to a gas escape. Temporary traffic lights are in place to facilitate the emergency repairs.

Marc Bull, Customer Operations Supervisor for Cadent said,

“Due to sensitive and complex nature of these repairs, Cadent will be remaining site to finish these repairs until Friday, 10 January at the earliest. These repairs can take time to resolve, but this is to ensure that we continue to provide the safest and most reliable service to our customers.

“We appreciate our work, while necessary, has led to traffic disruption in the area, especially with schools reopening after Christmas and I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

“If you smell gas anywhere call the gas emergency service on 0800 111 999*. Do not assume it is related to this work – it may not be and needs to be checked.”
