Love Island: Andrew and Tasha take over as favourite couple to win
Realtor Andrew Le Page and model-dancer Tasha Ghouri are now the favourites to win this year’s Love Island at William Hill, and are priced at 5-1 in the market.
It’s not surprising that fans are now backing the duo for the win, as the weekend saw them sharing a romantic kiss in the villa after going to talk about their feelings for one another.
Thai is despite Tasha choosing Luca in the game of dares, which she confessed was due to fears of “getting crushed” if she were to invest all of her feelings into one person.
This led to Tasha confessing that Andrew makes her “feel like the only woman in the world” which is exactly what she wants, while he confirmed his affection for her too, saying: “you know how I feel, you know I like you too” – before the pair locked lips.
Previous favourites to win at William Hill were Gemma and Liam – but Liam’s departure from the villa and Gemma’s ex entering the villa scuppered their chance of success, while Luca and Gemma are currently priced at 6-1 for the win, just behind Andrew and Tasha.
Other couples that rank highly in the market are Jacques O’Neill and Paige Thorne at 7-1 – and surprisingly, Gemma and Jacques could be set for a rekindled romance at 10-1.
Favourite Love Island couples for the win
Andrew and Tasha – 5-1
Luca and Gemma – 6-1
Jacques and Paige – 7-1
Jacques and Gemma – 10-1
Luca and Paige – 12-1
When it comes to the top male in the villa, the odds show that Luca is the fan favourite at 7-4, followed by Andrew at 7-2 and Jacques at 4-1. Ikenna sits at the bottom at 14-1.
For the girls, the current favourite is Paige at 7-4, followed by Tasha at 9-4 – while Gemma Owen has slipped down to third place and is now priced at 5-1.
Speaking on the shift in odds, a William Hill spokesperson said: “It’s encouraging to see that Tasha and Andrew’s heart-to-heart has seen them rise in fans’ estimations, when after all, making a connection with others in the villa is really what the show is all about.
“It remains to be seen whether tonight’s episode will upset the market further – particularly given that exes Jacques and Gemma are quite high in the market for a rekindled romance.”
