L&Q to Launch Premium Shared Ownership Homes in Brentford to Local Residents

This month, L&Q is launching the first phase of one- and two-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments at Kew Bridge Rise, on the border of Chiswick and Brentford. A joint venture between L&Q and award-winning housebuilder, The Hill Group, the exceptional new development will offer Londoners first-class affordable homes and impressive resident-only facilities.

The first launch of Shared Ownership homes at Kew Bridge Rise will be available to those who currently live in the London Borough of Hounslow, before the development is opened up to west London buyers later in the year, and other areas in early 2025. L&Q will deliver 218 affordable homes at Kew Bridge Rise, 152 of which will be available for Shared Ownership and 66 for affordable rent. The first phase will be ready to move into in early 2025, with more homes completing and becoming ready for occupation throughout 2026.

The development comprises five distinctive buildings, offering an extensive range of on-site facilities. Kew Bridge Rise will deliver a brand-new state-of-the-art gym, a co-working space, a rooftop terrace and an in-house concierge all available for Shared Owners to use. A new nursery is also due to open in the grounds of Kew Bridge Rise.

Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q, comments: “As well as being located in a very desirable pocket of west London and complete with a huge range of outstanding amenities onsite, the top-of-the-range homes offer a significantly elevated living experience at a much more affordable price point – with deposits starting from just £10,750. It’s a very exciting opportunity for home hunters currently looking in the Borough of Hounslow, and we’re expecting to see high levels of interest from Hounslow first-time buyers this summer, before applications are opened to buyers from across west London later this year.”

Apartments at Kew Bridge Rise are finished to a high specification throughout, with fittings, fixtures and finishes included as standard at no extra cost. Stylish kitchens with sleek stone worktops are complete with fully integrated appliances, including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and induction hob, while full height windows illuminate contemporary living rooms, styled with Amtico flooring. In each apartment, a washer/dryer is housed in a large storage cupboard. Principal bedrooms feature fitted mirrored wardrobes and are complete with an en-suite bathroom. Each apartment comes with underfloor heating, private outdoor space, and access to the communal roof terrace.

Helping residents cut monthly bills, L&Q’s apartments at Kew Bridge Rise have been designed with sustainability in mind. Homes are all fitted with high efficiency aluminium timber composite windows, and heating is supplied via a communal air source heat pump.

Set in the heart of London’s Zone 3, this new development sits within easy reach of some of the capital’s best shopping, eating, riverside walks and outdoor spaces. Kew Bridge Rise is a short walk from picturesque Strand-on-the-Green, one of Chiswick’s four medieval villages lining the River Thames, and just a 20-minute walk from leafy Chiswick High Road, packed with independent eateries, boutiques and drinking spots. For bigger shopping days, London’s largest shopping centre, Westfield in White City, is less than a 20-minute drive away.

For buyers seeking peace and tranquillity in the city, Kew Bridge Rise is surrounded by an abundance of green space – including 65 acres of historic gardens at Chiswick House and the world-famous botanical Kew Gardens, home to over 40,000 living plants, just across the river.

Situated just a two-minute walk to Kew Bridge Overground Station and 10 minutes to Gunnersbury Underground Station, Kew Bridge Rise is ideal for commuters, offering fast, direct links to Waterloo.

Prices start from £107,500 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment (full market value £430,000) and £132,500 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (full market value £530,000)
