Meet WWE’s first openly lesbian Superstar, Daria Berenato
WWE first openly lesbian Superstar, Daria Berenato can be seen dominating the ring on FOX’s WWE “SmackDown Live” and recently in Quibi’s WWE unscripted series “Fight Like a Girl!” as she paves the way for a more diverse and accepting world. A former pro MMA fighter known for her power, speed, and dedication
After participating on reality competition show “Tough Enough,” competing with 11,000girls for 13 top spots – and where she came out as gay on national TV, Daria met her future tag team partner Mandy Rose. As they both share an east coast background and love for wrestling, they became inseparable on-screen and off.
Together, the duo produces a weekly donut show called “DAMANDYZ DONUTS,” in which the famous duo shares the latest reviews on donuts from stores they visit across the nation in search for America’s best glazed donut. The pair recognizes that women are put under extreme pressure to look a certain way while eating a restrictive diet, and they combat these stereotypes to demonstrate that you can be in excellent shape while enjoying the pleasures of life.
When she’s not traveling the country for “SmackDown Live” year-round or tasting each city’s best donuts, Daria spends her time working on her upcoming fashion line, and supporting LGBT initiatives.
