MILTON KEYNES DEVELOPER HOSTS PLANTING SESSION FOR RAINBOWS
A local Rainbows group recently dug in and earned a new badge during a garden planting session hosted by leading homebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes.
Water Eaton Rainbows, which consists of children aged between five and seven, visited Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ Woburn Downs development to plant a range of trees and shrubs at the front of the show home garden.
During their visit, staff of Barratt and David Wilson Homes helped the Rainbows work towards their construction badge.
In order to achieve the badge, the girls were taught about different materials, shapes, and what goes into planning a street.
Sam Barrington, Bletchley Division Commissioner and Rainbow Leader, said: “We were made to feel very welcome, the Rainbows particularly enjoyed exploring the show home.”
Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “We want to say a big thank you to the children at Water Eaton Rainbows for their efforts in planting at Woburn Downs. We’re really excited to see the garden bloom!
“We hope the children enjoyed the experience and we’re pleased our knowledgeable team were able to help them achieve their construction badge.”
