Mountaintop Junkshop Return with widely anticipated new album ‘Misadventureland’

Hailing from Leicester, UK, Mountaintop Junkshop could easily be mistaken for alt-country misfits from some lost California scene. The band craft country-tinged minimal torch songs, leaving space to hear pins drop and hearts breaking.

Since forming, they have shared stages with the likes of Jolie Holland, Herman Dune, Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance, Nina Nastasia, and many more, earning a reputation for their intimate, stripped-back sound and evocative songwriting.

Drawing comparisons to Low, Mazzy Star, and Songs: Ohia, Mountaintop Junkshop’s music feels like it belongs next to a yellowing, red wine-stained old copy of Frank Stanford poems—fragile, raw, and timeless.

The line up: Jon Bennett – Vocals/Guitar, Amy Cooper – Vocals/Keys, David Fellows – Bass, Natasha Pattinson – Violin, Katie Shields – Drums.

The album Misadventureland is being released on 18th April 2025 further cementing their place in the UK’s rich americana landscape. It follows the release of two singles from the album – ‘Holy Hell’ and ‘I’m Still Looking For The Light’ – both of which received widespread acclaim.

“Misadventureland is a world where misadventure and mistakes pave the way to unexpected beauty, life lessons, and freedom. It’s about being human — navigating addiction, love, and the messiness of life — discovering that joy often hides in the places we least expect. “
