New Barleylands Day Nursery all set for September opening

The much-anticipated Barleylands Nursery and Pre-School is on track to open its doors to children in late September 2024. Already receiving over 400 enquiries to date, the nursery promises to be a game-changer for Billericay’s early childhood education.

With daily visits to the animals at Barleylands Farm, Barleylands Nursery and Pre-School will offer a unique learning experience. The ever-changing farm environment will always provide something new, from counting the piglets or witnessing an animal birth to spotting the differences between the seasons on the tractor and trailer rides.

Naoise, the nursery’s Senior Manager, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Every time we visit for a site update, I get more excited about our nature-based play offering. The nursery looks amazing, and with so many learning opportunities at Barleylands Farm, the education opportunities are endless. With over 400 enquiries already received, it looks like the local community is excited too.”

The new nursery building features modern, state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the highest standards.

Free Flow Access to Nursery Gardens: Children can easily transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, promoting physical activity and a love for the outdoors.

Easy Pick-Up Points: Conveniently located adjacent to the nursery, making drop-offs and pick-ups hassle-free for parents.

Freshly Made Meals: Nutritious meals prepared on-site to ensure children receive balanced and healthy food options.

Daily Supervised Visits to Barleylands Farm: Providing plenty of engaging learning opportunities.

Government Funded Childcare: Available from 9 months old, and payment will also be accepted from the Tax-Free Childcare Scheme.

The new Nursery and Pre-School will care for children from 6 weeks old to 5 years and is located in the former Barleylands Farmers Market building. The new nursery will be owned and run by childcare professionals, Farm Day Nurseries, a childcare group with 9 other day nurseries on farms across England.

Families interested in learning more about the enrolment process or seeking additional information are encouraged to visit BarleylandsFarmDayNursery.co.uk or the nursery’s Facebook and Instagram channels.
