NEW CHAPTER AT SHEFFIELD CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOLLOWING HOMEBUILDER’S DONATION

To continue its outreach in the local community, South Yorkshire developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes has donated over £500 worth of books to The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield.

The charity funds four key areas: a comfortable and engaging environment built with children in mind, specialist medical equipment, new facilities to extend the range of treatment provided, and research into the care, prevention and cure of childhood illnesses.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ contribution included of a range of books for children of all ages and will make a big impact on the experience for patients who often have to stay in hospital for weeks at a time.

Harriet Keynes, Corporate Partnerships Assistant at The Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Barratt and David Wilson Homes for its donation of books to Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The books focused on a fantastic range of topics, with many centring around children’s wellbeing and mental health. The donation also included many interactive books, which the children have absolutely loved. We are very grateful for our friendship with Barratt and David Wilson Homes and all that they do for The Children’s Hospital Charity.”

As well as the donation, Barratt and David Wilson Homes Sheffield has chosen The Children’s Hospital Charity as its Charity of the Year, and will be raising funds to support the cause throughout 2023.
