New lockdown virtual venue hosted by celebs goes live

With the country set to return to lockdown this Thursday, SocialEyes – a brand new virtual venue – has launched to provide some much-needed quality entertainment for people to enjoy with their friends and family at home – wherever in the country they are.

No matter what your jam is – music or the edible kind – SocialEyes has got you covered with live, interactive events and classes hosted by TV chefs (Ugne Bubnaityte), award-winning song-writers, performers and musicians (Shelly Poole, Ally McErlaine, Horse, Grace Savage, Clint Boon) and some of theatre’s biggest names (Cassidy Janson, Lucy Hind, Renee Lamb, Tim Mahendran).

And whether you’re into a bit of drama (Gaynor Faye, Heather Peace, Adiza Shardow, Lauren Lyle) soaps (Laurie Brett, Patsy Palmer) or comedy (Rufus Hound, Josie Long, Matt King) make-up (James Mac) or magic (Magical Bones, Katherine Rhodes), there’s a host and an event that’s just right for you.

Each experience takes place live on zoom with very limited numbers. This means every audience will always be visible and able to interact with the host. People can either buy tickets for existing events or they can book a ‘Backstage’ experience with the host, allowing them to create their own personal event to enjoy with their friends, family or colleagues.

Every good time created by SocialEyes will also contribute to a good cause. Each host donates a percentage of their fee to a charity of their choice and SocialEyes match-donates this percentage to the #WeMakeEvents movement to support the individuals, families and industry charities affected by loss of work in the live sector. Says SocialEyes co-founder Lee Beattie who has worked in the live events industry for over 20 years: “This festive period is going to be a bit different for all of us this year. Our normal get-togethers, office parties and nights-out are unlikely to go ahead as normal so we wanted to find a way to bring families, friends and workplaces together to socialise and enjoy some quality entertainment – no matter where they are in the country.”

And finally, SocialEyes will launch their biggest VIP event to date when the live Santa’s Grotto opens for business at the end of November. With limited slots available, every Santa meet & greet will feel personal and unique. Parents will be asked to fill in some answers about their children in advance so that Santa will be able to talk to them about their favourite TV shows, toys and their friends. A gift will then be sent to children from Santa in the post. https://socialeyes.club/products/santas-virtual-grotto. For every gift sent, we will also donate an extra toy to a child who needs one through www.kidsout.org.uk
