NHS WORKERS SECURE FIRST HOME IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Jomon Thomas (41), a Health Care Assistant at Cambridge University Hospitals, and Neethu Jacob (36), a Staff Nurse at Royal Papworth Hospitals, recently moved with their two children, Alan (11) and Mireya (3).
The family moved into a new three bedroom property at the Wellington Road development after concluding their search for a home with enough space.
They were previously renting a flat in Great Shelford and used the Help to Buy scheme to help them step on to the property ladder.
Neethu and Jomon said: “We looked at Northstowe as its location was ideal for both of our commutes. There are schools nearby for our children, and the area has great potential to grow.
“We wanted a new build home as it is a blank canvas which you can add your own personal touch to. David Wilson Homes has an excellent reputation and our moving journey was great, we would definitely recommend the company to my friends and family.
“We chose the Cannington style home as we liked the feeling of a townhouse and it is really spacious. We enjoy having a home spread across three floors.”
Residents of Northstowe will benefit from a range of amenities on their doorstep including high quality schools, a GP surgery and pharmacy, sports facilities, local shops as well as excellent transport links.
The new community is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the environment by creating green corridors and waterways that provide a place for people to enjoy and relax.
Will Phair, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Cambridge, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jomon, Neethu, Alan and Mireya to the growing community here at Northstowe.
“It is great to hear they are now settled in their new home, and are enjoying exploring the local area.”
Northstowe has been designed with a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle in mind, with a network of safe walking and cycling routes the new town to its surrounding areas.
The flourishing destination benefits from excellent commuter links to the local park and ride, in addition to the upgraded A14 and M11 all just minutes away. The development also benefits from the Guided Busway that arrives in Cambridge in under 30 minutes.
