Nigel Farage blasts Nick Robinson and the BBC for dig at GB News
Nigel told a live GB News audience tonight: “This morning on Radio 4…Jacob Rees-Mogg was on the radio for the Today programme being interviewed by Nick Robinson, about the fact that these thousands of EU laws that were going to be scrapped are not now being scrapped.
“And Jacob is pretty blooming angry about it, given that he was the minister that put in place the proposals to get rid of those laws.”
After playing a clip of Nick Robinson saying during the interview that “not that many people” watch GB News, Nigel said: “So, Nick Robinson, how many people would watch you if you didn’t work with the BBC?
“Who the hell do you think you are the outright arrogance of these people at the BBC, given the fact that we all have to pay all this money to watch them and listen to them every year is a complete and absolute disgrace, and it makes me even more determined that GB News succeeds.”
He spoke about a media awards website crashing after he was nominated for News Presenter of the Year at the annual TRIC Awards, which are voted on by the public.
Nigel said: “The website has crashed a couple of times in the last few days with the sheer number of people actually wanting to vote for me.
“Wouldn’t it be fun if we won and I turned up at that dinner, and I ruined the evening for absolutely everybody?”
