North Lincs youth club moves to new venue
A CLEETHORPES-based youth club is moving days and venues as it looks to attract more young people to its activities and services.
Youth Partnership – North East Lincs will see their regular Cleethorpes youth club move from Monday evenings to Friday evenings, starting from Friday 30 June.
And the club will now take place in J.A.D.E. Dancefever’s studio at 22 Grant Street in the North East Lincolnshire resort.
Cleethorpes youth club is aimed at 8-19-year-olds with 8-13-year-olds attending between 4pm and 6pm and ages 14+ between 6pm and 8pm.
Organisers are promising plenty of fun activities across the sessions.
YMCA Humber are one of the organisations involved with the youth club and their Youth & Community Manager Linda Clark spoke about the upcoming changes.
She said: “Friday nights is the perfect night to hold a youth club, as young people have finished school and are looking forward to the weekend.
“We have been looking for a venue to hold our Cleethorpes youth club on a Friday night and we recently held a disco in the half-term holidays at J.A.D.E Dancefever.
“It seemed like the perfect place to hold a youth club because of its central location and quality facilities, so we are delighted to be moving there on a more permanent basis.”
There will be a 50p entrance per person and activities will include pool, arts and crafts and a disco.
A tuck shop will also be on hand selling cheap snacks and drinks.
The club will be open every Friday apart from in the school holidays.
