Northern Ireland has been ranked the most loving region in the UK
Northern Ireland has been ranked the most loving region in the UK, with residents telling their partner they love them more frequently than in any other region, and giving Valentine’s gifts to their friends or family members just to show they care.
This is according to flower delivery company Bloom & Wild, who surveyed residents across the UK to uncover the most and least loving regions in the nation. In perfect timing for Valentine’s Day, the results revealed the areas where people most enjoy expressing love, and disclosed exactly how they do so. The survey findings have been illustrated in a stylish map and blog post found at the bottom of Bloom & Wild’s inspirational guide to Valentine’s, with highlights including:
Almost 50% of people in Northern Ireland say ‘I love you’ to their partner multiple times every day
90% of people in the South East and East Midlands enjoy expressing love
93% of people in the North West wish they could spend more time with their loved ones
People aged 25-34 are the most eager to receive flowers for Valentine’s Day
On the other end of the spectrum, Scotland was revealed to be the least loving region in the UK. Scots are the least likely to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and they are among the least comfortable expressing love. The survey results revealed the following:
Only 58% of people in the UK tell their partner they love them once a week or more
People aged 65+ enjoy expressing love the least
