Parcel management platform raises £5,000 for Bliss Baby Charity

NetDespatch, the leading parcel data management platform, has donated £5,000 to Bliss, a charity which offers a wide range of free services for the families of premature and sick babies, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to donate a fixed percentage of its turnover to charitable causes.

Bliss, which provided one-to-one support to over 6,200 parents last year, was selected as one of the NetDespatch’s supported charities following the company’s annual vote by employees.

Founded in 1979 by a group of concerned parents who discovered that no hospital had the required equipment nor the trained staff needed to safely care for premature and sick babies, Bliss offers emotional and practical support to empower families of babies born premature or sick and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to provide the best possible care to their baby.

Caroline Lee-Davey Chief Executive at Bliss said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen to receive this generous donation from NetDespatch. Each year more than 95,000 babies are born needing neonatal care across the UK, and the money from this donation will help us get closer to our goal of ensuring that every single one of them has the best chance of survival and quality of life. Contributions like this enables us to offer the emotional and practical support that empowers families and equips them with the knowledge and skills they need to provide the best possible care to their baby.”
