PARKS AND EXPECTATION: PADDY POWER LAUNCHES ‘PADDY PARKS’ IN LONDON AND NEWCASTLE
It’s time to fetch something beer-proof as Paddy Power is launching the ultimate EURO 2020 fanpark experience in London and Newcastle. And, fans will have a genuine reason to celebrate a disallowed goal thanks to VAR triggering free pints at the venues.
With fanparks famed for wild celebrations during the 2018 World Cup, Paddy Power are adding to the legendary experience with its Paddy Parks, hosted at London’s Flat Iron Square and Riverside Newcastle this summer.
Flat Iron Square, London
The venues will host thousands of fans across the two locations, and London guests will also be joined by internet star Mark Goldbridge for live watchalongs on the giant screens – in case the impending 0-0 draw with the Czech Republic isn’t quite entertaining enough.
Riverside, Newcastle
In a world-first, both Paddy Parks will also feature a VAR Bar, which hands out free pints to people wasting beer on celebrating a goal disallowed by video assistant referees* – because it’s always unfortunate to have a premature celebration.

Attendees can also get beer-proof brolly hats to protect against the alcohol-chucking antics (cue flashbacks to Kieran Trippier against Croatia), and pairs of Paddy’s lucky pants are also on offer.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “No one could forget the scenes of wild fanpark celebrations during the 2018 World Cup, and I’d go as far to say that life’s been rapidly heading downhill since the high of Trippier’s free kick against Croatia.
“So, we wanted to recapture those moments of pure joy, and add our own Paddy Power twist to proceedings to launch the most authentic viewing experience this summer. It doesn’t matter if your side gets knocked out in the Round of 16, as long as you’ve bagged yourself a pair of pants to wear on the train home. Right?”
The Paddy Parks are open from the first EURO 2020 game on 11th June, and tickets are available for both the Flat Iron Square and Riverside Newcastle venues via: https://paddyparkfanzones.com/.
