Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend said she tried to help him to prove his innocence
PRINCE Andrew’s former girlfriend Victoria Hervey has revealed that his lawyers reached out to her during his legal battle but she was unable to help prove his innocence.
In an exclusive interview on GB News, Lady Hervey also told how she now fears that her former friend Ghislaine Maxwell will be dead within a year.
She was commenting after a 20-year sentence was handed down to Maxwell in the States in relation to her role in child sex trafficking for the late Jeffrey Epstein.
Lady Victoria said she has been in constant contact with his legal team and knew the identity of the man who took the infamous photo of Prince Andrew and his alleged victim Virginia Louise Giuffre [née Roberts] in London.
She said: “I started finding all this stuff that was going on, because I was in constant contact with his lawyer when I started investigating. They reached out to me.
“But unfortunately, the witness that came forward about the photo, that was after once he had signed for Virginia.”
Asked if members of the Royal family have been frustrated with Prince Andrew, she said: “He always wanted to prove his innocence but in the end. he did it for his mother.”
Lady Hervey said she believed that Maxwell would die soon in prison saying: “I don’t think she’ll be alive more than a year. I’ll be really surprised.”
The socialite also revealed how she had stayed at Epstein’s apartment and got the feeling she was being watched.
“When I stayed in Epstein’s apartment, I was a little freaked out and I thought I was being recorded. I felt like I was being watched, you know, like it was being recorded and the thing that really freaked me out when this thing did go down and when Epstein was arrested, and it started coming out that actually he did record, you know, and that’s when I thought how I wasn’t imagining it…”
She also told Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster on Breakfast on GB News that she had attended events where Maxwell and Epstein were present.
“You know, it was something that I saw quite a lot of I was a young model…I worked a lot in New York and Milan and you know, around the world, and it was kind of a normal situation for me to be at a dinner with, you know, a lot of other girls that were young, and some wealthy guys.
“I was obviously there to entertain men that Epstein was trying to get a business deal done.”
