ProDog Raw release honest new advert tackling raw dog food myths.

ProDog Raw, a leading creator of raw dog food products, have released an honest and informative new advert addressing inaccurate raw feeding myths.

Using tongue-in-cheek humour and friendly canine characters to highlight what most of us get wrong about raw dog food, and the dangers surrounding vegan diets for dogs, ProDog Raw’s advert is set to shake up the pet food industry, positioning raw feeding as dog owners’ preferred diet choice for man’s best friend.

The benefits of raw feeding are becoming more widely accepted; however, many owners remain heavily influenced by misplaced stereotypes and assumptions. For example, as veganism has soared in popularity amongst humans, many dog owners are subsequently choosing to feed their pets vegan diets; something which is extremely concerning for ProDog Raw’s leading experts, including Dr Nick Thompson, ‘The Holistic Vet’. Meanwhile, many assume that raw food for dogs is not nutritionally complete, that it’s unhealthy, complicated and that it’s ultimately unsustainable. Thankfully, ProDog Raw have addressed these concerns in their new, educational advert.

Within this short clip, ProDog Raw’s canine friend outlines the most common myths surrounding raw dog food, whilst the benefits of this diet are clearly demonstrated.

Discussing the importance of their advert and the impact ProDog Raw food will have on dog owners, Heidi Maskelyne, CEO, has said:

‘At ProDog Raw we’re dedicated to protecting and enriching dogs’ health. We work with countless experts to make sure that everything we advise, and all of the products we create, are supported by rigorous research and indisputable findings. Our team have spent years honing their understanding of dogs’ diets and we can now say, without any doubt, that we understand what they need to thrive. Quite simply, that’s raw meat-based diet.

With this knowledge behind us, it’s concerning to see so many misconceptions continue to gain momentum. Those who aren’t familiar with the reality of raw feeding jump to all kinds of conclusions far too quickly; raw food subscriptions needn’t break the bank, and, ultimately, a quality raw diet provides your dog with all of the nutrition they need.

Our new advert addresses the myths without holding back, whilst proudly and clearly sharing important information with dog owners. We hope it starts a conversation, introducing dog owners everywhere to what really is the ideal diet for man’s best friend.’

Meanwhile, Dr. Conor Brady, author of ‘Feeding Dogs’ and founder of Dogs First, state:

‘‘It’s indisputable that dogs have evolved on diets consisting very largely of raw meat and bone – that is, animal protein. Bar a few quirks here and there that differ them slightly from obligate carnivores such as cats, dogs today have much the same carnivorous biology and physiology as their ancestors. Whilst those with vested interests may insinuate otherwise, the literature shows that at no stage of their lives do dogs require plant carbohydrates in their diet. While a small amount here and there (from appropriate sources) may be OK in the short term, ultra-processed, carbohydrate-based pet foods are doing untold harm long-term. It’s absolutely vital that dog owners sit back and familiarise themselves with what dogs really need, and don’t need, in their diets.’
