PROPS FROM CLASSIC 1980s MOVIES TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION

Film fans will have the opportunity to bid on Back to the Future hoverboards, a Ghostbusters Ghost Trap, Indiana Jones’ Holy Grail and more, in Propstore’s LA auction this month

Griff Tannen’s (Thomas F. Wilson) “P.I.T Bull” Hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II (1989) (estimated between $60,000 – 80,000) and a Ghostbusters 2 SFX Smoking Ghost Trap (estimated at $30,000 – 50,000) are to be sold alongside over 1,800 lots in Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live auction, taking place between 21st – 24th June 2022
Movie fans will have the opportunity to bid on costumes from some of the 1980s best-loved characters, including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 screen-matched jacket from The Terminator (1984) and Rick Deckard’s (Harrison Ford) Photo-Matched Shirt from Blade Runner (1982), estimated to sell between $20,000 – 30,000, and $50,000 – 70,000 respectively
With recent release of Top Gun: Maverick, bidders with a new-found love for Top Gun (1986) will have the chance to bid on Hollywood (Whip Hubley) and Wolfman’s (Barry Tubb) F-14A Tomcat Pyrotechnic Model Miniature, estimated to sell between $30,000 – 50,000
Propstore’s first four-day live auction, will be taking place in Valencia, California, and
features a collection of film memorabilia worth over $9 million (£7.1 million)
Bids can be placed in-person, online or by phone from anywhere in the world

The auction will take place live from Valencia, California, and will be live streamed online for fans to track the action and participate in bidding themselves.
