Return to the office: 1 in 3 Brits worry about infection in the workplace

The survey found that 35% of Brits are worried about becoming infected in the workplace and a further 77% think that the risk of getting infected by bacteria and viruses is greatest on public transport. With restrictions lifting and the commute to work set to become a normality once again, it seems that concerns around health are higher than ever before.

Clean air is linked to an abundance of health benefits and 1 in 4 Brits have revealed that they would consider using an air purifier which can kill airborne bacteria and viruses as a way to stay healthy. We spend around 90% of our time indoors, yet indoor air can be up to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Clean air has a multitude of health benefits that include higher levels of productivity[2], and can even help to combat allergy and asthma symptoms[3].

Kevin Luo, Senior Air Filtration Officer, Blueair comments, “These insights suggest that the pandemic has led to more concerns around people’s health than ever before. As companies return to the office after over a year of working from home, we can see that concerns remain around infection in public spaces, such as in the workplace itself and even on the commute to the office. Clean air has an abundance of health benefits, including increased productivity, so installing an air purifier in the workplace can go a long way in terms of giving employees peace of mind and improving overall health.”
