REVIEW: Inside Hackney’s vibrant and relaxed Italian eatery Venerdi
Venerdi means Friday in Italian and typically conjures up a feeling of being ecstatic and alive, just a stone throw from Homerton station you can find Venerdi Restaurant.
The name is fitting for this corner-placed lively and laid-back eatery where cocktails, wine and traditional pizza’s aplenty!
I popped into the popular Hackney eatery to see what the farce was all about!
My verdict: 4/5
I always judge an Italian restaurant on the quality of its Olives. Venerdi’s olives clock in at £2.95 and are great. They also bring bread to your table which is lovely and soft, served with oil & vinegar.
Their mains seem well portioned (possibly overly so) for the price. My Gnoccette Sardi defeated my appetite despite being rather delicious.
Overall a great addition to the neighbourhood, this part of Hackney has been lacking decent eateries and I think Venerdi will keep the locals happy.
